Job Description As a Security Officer Front Desk Security Clearance in Charlottesville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, support access control and badge processes, monitor security-related systems, and communicate professionally with employees and guests. AM What You'll Do:
Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors at a front-desk location within a technology, media, and telecommunications environment. Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Greet visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records. Monitor front-desk communications, access-control activity, and designated cameras or alarm systems, reporting irregularities according to site procedures. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and coordinate with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance. CPR certification is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Access control/badge experience is preferred. A Guard Card/license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
