​ Come join our team as a Security Guard, at Life Center of Galax! We are looking for individuals who are passionate about behavioral health. PURPOSE STATEMENT
​ Responsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving facility property. We offer a full suite of benefits ranging from: Hourly rate is negotiable depending on years of experience, education, and other factors. The general hourly pay range for this role is $14-$17.87. This role does offer a shift differential of $2/hour for hours worked at night and $3/hour on weekends.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
​ Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property. ​ Keep accurate log books, as required. ​ Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills. ​ Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff. ​ Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility. ​ Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times. ​ Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership. ​
OTHER FUNCTIONS
​ Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
GALAX EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
​ High School diploma or equivalent required. ​ Two or more years' experience in security, corrections or military. ​ ​
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS
​ Valid state driver's license. ​ CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). ​ First aid may be required based on state or facility. ​ ​ ​
