Job Summary:

The Security Officer will assist store management in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and employees. The officer will monitor store activity, help deter theft, and respond to security alarms while providing professional customer service.

Essential Functions:

Monitor store activity to help deter theft and ensure a safe environment for customers and employees. Observe customer and employee behavior for suspicious activity and report concerns to store management. Respond to exit door alarms and politely verify receipts when alarms are activated. Conduct routine patrols throughout the store and surrounding areas to identify potential security concerns. Provide visible security presence to help prevent shoplifting and other violations of store policies. Document incidents, suspicious activity, and security concerns in written reports. Work closely with store management and staff to address safety or security issues. Provide professional customer service while enforcing store policies. Perform other duties as assigned.
