Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Guest Assistance in Suffolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations. Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and assist with maintaining orderly movement throughout the location. Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
A guard card or applicable license is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
