Job Description

Job Type Full-time Description As a Casino Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our casino property and its patrons. Your duties will include responding to security incidents and providing a visible security presence in the casino. You will also observe patrons participating in gambling activities to detect and respond to infractions of house rules. You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, customer service, and integrity while representing the casino in all interactions with guests. We are looking for someone who is attentive, reliable, and capable of making sound judgment in difficult situations. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Responsible for security functions at assigned stations. Maintains constant vigilance to ensure the safety of patrons and employees and company property. Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service. Speaks or signals to supervising personnel using hand, telephone two-way radio, or voice to identify and supply information about suspected violators. May transfer monies, chips, and documentation within the casino. Examines dice periodically to check for damage or substitution. Promotes positive public relations in conjunction with accommodating and friendly customer service. Enforces Squaxin Island Gaming Enterprise and regulatory laws and requirements. Requirements Level I High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Three months of demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role, with a focus on conflict resolution and public interaction. and/or three months related experience or training Equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous security experience preferred. Level II High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Six months of demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role, with a focus on conflict resolution and public interaction. And/or six months related experience or training Equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous security experience required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Class III gaming license issued from the Washington State Gambling Commission. Must have or be able to obtain a First Aid Card within a 90-day probationary period. Requires a Valid Washington State Driver License for Level II and must be insurable on the Tribe's insurance.
