CPR Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Chief of Public Safety, Shift Captain or the Shift Lieutenant, assist and participate in all firefighting, lifesaving, operations and airport security activities at the airport and its facilities and to do related work as required. Respond to the screening checkpoint when notified by TSA, notify other law enforcement agencies as required, provide intervention as necessary. Be able to perform as driver/operator of each fire apparatus assigned to the Airport Public Safety Department. Operate, and be able to maneuver the fire apparatus into the most optimum position for combating a fire. Operate pumps, booms, nozzles or similar equipment. Perform firefighting, rescue, and salvage operations at fires, accidents, or other emergencies. Be able to perform friction testing on runways and AOA surfaces per GRB FAA approved Snow and Ice Control Plan. Be able to perform the Airport Self-Inspection Program daily and document findings. Be able to perform fuel farm and mobile refueler vehicle inspections per FAR Part 139.321. Be able to publish NOTAMS and field condition reports per Airport Procedures and FAR Part 139.321 Maintain fire and safety equipment in good working condition. Make inspections of airport aprons, taxiways, runways, buildings and other structures for the identification and elimination of safety hazards. Maintain station in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition. Prepare reports as required. Maintain control of traffic and crowds. Maintain surveillance of the terminal and other buildings and provide general security for the Airport. Perform identification checks for airport employees, conduct background checks and issue Security Identification Display area media. Monitor airport security alarm system and respond to security alarms as required. Monitor airport fire alarm system and respond to alarms as required. Perform other duties as assigned Skills and Knowledge High School or equivalent. (Required) Ability to possess a firearm. Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment. Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously. Ability to perform essential functions of the position. No felony convictions. Good verbal and written communication skills. Valid state driver's license throughout employees' term of employment. Must successfully complete a criminal background investigation and an employment history that meets the requirements of 49 CFR 1542.209. Must be able to speak and understand English (verbal and written). Successful completion of Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board certified 720 Hour Recruit Academy and/or an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from a Wisconsin Technical College System program. Or out-of-state equivalent program. (Required) Minium Wisconsin Technical College System Firefighter 1, or out of state equivalent. (Preferred) Minium State of Wisconsin Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) License or National Registry. (Preferred) Current Basic Life Support CPR/AED certification. (Preferred) Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting certification and/or experience. (Preferred) Relevant knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration Regulations (FAR) 139.315-319.
