Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Security Guard to join our team in Port Washington. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Unarmed Security Guard will play a crucial role in controlling access to sites, preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of individuals on the premises. Responsibilities Monitor and patrol designated areas to ensure safety and security. Screen people attempting to enter the site and verify credentials to control access. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies while following established protocols. Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site. Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor. Collaborate with law enforcement when required, providing detailed reports of incidents. Assist in loss prevention strategies by identifying potential security risks. Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques to resolve issues peacefully. Qualifications Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred. Valid security guard license (Guard Card) preferred, but not required. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus. Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
