Job Description

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Security Officer to work with our Security Department. At Cabell Huntington Hospital, the philosophy and intent of Security is to protect and prevent illegal or unauthorized activity in the Hospital or on its campus. In accomplishing that cause, we serve, help and protect our patients, visitors, and employees in a variety of different manners. Past experience in security, law enforcement or military is preferred. Basic computer skills (including typing, keyboarding and/or using a mouse) are helpful. Strong interpersonal skills are required. Candidates must have good writing and communication skills. Basic First Aid knowledge is preferred.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, and crouch. Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing environmental conditions. Must possess ability to hear and interpret two-way radio calls. Must be in good physical condition. Must be able to run. Visual and hearing acuity required. Must meet requirement of Cabell Huntington Hospital Insurance Provider. Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
