Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Sports Bar Security professional to ensure a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for all patrons and staff. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining order, preventing theft and disturbances, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Your expertise in physical security measures, incident management, and customer service will help foster a lively yet safe atmosphere where guests can enjoy their time confidently. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your security skills in a vibrant sports bar setting while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Responsibilities Monitor the premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or potential threats. Conduct regular patrols of the bar area, entrances, exits, and surrounding grounds to uphold security protocols. Manage access control systems by verifying IDs, performing background checks on new guests if necessary, and controlling entry points. Respond promptly to incidents such as disturbances, conflicts, or emergencies by applying conflict de-escalation techniques and emergency response procedures. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, injuries, or unusual occurrences for record-keeping and future reference. Assist with customer service by providing directions, answering questions, and ensuring guests feel welcomed while maintaining safety standards. Handle emergency situations effectively by operating AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), Taser devices, fire extinguishers, and firearms if authorized and trained. Experience Prior experience in security roles within hospitality venues such as bars, clubs, or sports arenas is highly desirable. Background in law enforcement or military service provides valuable skills in surveillance, incident management, and physical security tactics. Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and Taser use is preferred to respond confidently during emergencies. Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control procedures, heavy lifting techniques for manual handling tasks, and fire safety regulations is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts professionally while maintaining compliance with security regulations and company policies. Experience performing background checks or conducting loss prevention activities enhances your ability to safeguard the venue effectively.
