Job Description

Applicants must be 21 years of age, a United States Citizen, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and good moral character. Applicant cannot have felony or domestic violence arrests. Law Enforcement certified preferred but not mandatory. The City of Galena is an Equal Opportunity Employer Applicants will be required to successfully pass a background investigation, physiological, physical, and drug and alcohol testing.
Responsibilities:
  • Patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and respond to any suspicious activity
  • Enforce laws and regulations to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks
  • Respond to alarms and emergency situations in a timely manner
  • Provide assistance to customers and employees when needed
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
  • Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
