Responsibilities
  • Provide Security in assigned area, maintains high visibility, watches for safety hazards, provide assistance to medical officer and patrols parking lots.
  • Provides Security escorts for monetary transfers, fills, credits and jackpots.
  • Oversee turnstiles. Provides ground control, directs traffic, checks identification for under age patrons, checks for intoxicated patrons, checks for items not allowed in the casino.
  • Provides assistance to customers, gives directions, calls taxis, assists with car trouble, etc.
  • Provides special assistance to disabled patrons as necessary.
  • Assists with the table and bill validator. Observes drop team during the drop and transporting of drop.
  • Assists with the table drop by providing empty drop boxes and securing full drop boxes in the trolleys and transporting trolleys to the trolley storage area. Monitors all entry and exit to count rooms.
  • May serve as dispatcher. Dispatches other officers to various assignments and maintains activity log sheets.
  • May monitor surveillance monitors excluding gaming related activities.
  • Prepares detailed reports as required for incidents involving law violations and or violations of company policies and procedures and/or internal controls. - Testifies in court on behalf of Argosy Casino.
  • Participates in drills designed to ensure the safety and protection of patrons and associates.
  • Watch for intoxicated patrons and reports to supervisor.
  • Watch for underage patrons and reports to supervisor. - Watch for patrons banned from casino.
  • Used card and dice inspection and cancellation.

  • High school diploma or G.E.D and one year experience
  • Six months experience with Associates degree or higher.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • At a minimum must be a nationally certified First Responder or state certified EMT.
