Summary:
This position is responsible for observing, documenting, and reporting all activity on the property to protect property assets, guests, and employees. Additionally, this position maintains close surveillance of all gaming and cash-handling areas by using a CCTV system in compliance with gaming, department, and company regulations. Incumbents are expected to assist in the training of less experienced employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Other duties may be assigned: 1. Monitor activities of guests and employees on the casino floor, cage, F&B outlets, and count rooms via closed-circuit television (CCTV) system and personal observation for suspicious activities and/or violations of regulations, policies, procedures, or internal controls. 2. Utilizes necessary equipment to identify, record, and document illegal and/or unusual activities occurring in areas under surveillance and reports same to appropriate personnel. 3. Records questionable activities and makes written reports to appropriate personnel. 4. Monitors alarm system. 5. Reviews video associated with jackpots. 6. Maintain strict confidentiality of all property-related issues. 7. Operate monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions. 8. Protects the assets of the company. 9. Must be able to input and access information in a computer. 10. Prepare and write daily reports and logs. 11. Operates all surveillance computer equipment. 12. Supports other Managers, Directors, and Executives with assistance and information relating to the protection of assets in their respective departments and fellow operators in performing their duties. 13. Understand and cooperate fully with all Departmental and Company policies. 14. Maintain a professional relationship with Commission members and their Agents. 15. Accurately and quickly perform duties as assigned. 16. Maintain or augment skills through review and self-study. 17. Maintain and understand compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. 18. Enforce all policies and procedures. 19. Perform all job functions in a safe and responsible manner. The Surveillance Supervisor responsibility is to assist the Surveillance Manager in every regard at all times; to supervise senior operators, technicians and operators on their respective shifts as instructed by the Manager in compliance with all-departmental, company and State Regulations. To conduct continuous surveillance of all areas of the casino via floor surveillance and the CCTV system as directed by the Manager per Commission, departmental and company regulations; to take authority over emergency situations until such time that the Manager may arrive to provide further instructions and to give guidance and training to the Operators of all shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Give guidance to Senior Operators, operators and technician as directed by the Manager.
  • Make recommendations to Surveillance Management, based on observations made during Surveillance activity, concerning changes in the policies and procedures of other departments with the protection of company assets in mind.
  • Supports other Managers, Directors and Executives with assistance and information relating to the protection of assets in their respective departments, as well as Operators in the performance of their duties.
  • Understand and cooperate fully with all Departmental and Company policies, including the "open door" policy.
  • Continuously monitor CCTV, closely scrutinizing all activities within Camera range to ensure the protection of company assets.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with the Commission or its Agents.
  • Maintain the ability to detect any schemes or cheating aimed at the company or its guests.
  • Report all significant indications of criminal activity to the Commission in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the integrity and confidentiality necessary in the department is maintained per company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a non-arbitrary work environment for all surveillance personnel.
  • Provide a comprehensive training concerning all table games, slots, cage and count areas, as well as internal controls.
  • Maintain an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication and teamwork with all departments which depend on the support of the Surveillance Department.
  • Recognize and recommend for promotion only those surveillance employees who have demonstrated that their attitudes and abilities are commensurate with added responsibility and growth within the company.
