Job Description
About the Position This position serves as the designee for Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) and the Office of Training, Investigations and Safety (OTIS) as an Adult Abuse Investigator.
Core functions include:
Screening reports of abuse regarding individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Assessing health and safety risks and the need for protective services Determining if abuse reports meet criteria for investigation Conducting in-depth/sensitive investigations Forensic interviewing Field-based evidence & information gathering Preparing comprehensive written reports Testifying in administrative hearings Significant collaboration with DDS staff and other community partners This position also involves providing training to DDS staff and community partners. Monday - Friday; shift will vary. Schedule will be determined upon hire. This position offers 20 hours per week.- Hybrid telework may be optional or a condition of employment depending on the needs of the division at the time of hire.
