ROLE SUMMARY

The Investigator will travel to various Lifespire sites in order to conduct investigations into incidents of varying types (ex. Abuse, Neglect, Injury, etc) according to Lifespire investigation procedures and New York State Regulations. The Investigator will produce a final investigation report by a specific deadline for submission to the Agency Incident Review Committee and New York State Authorities. Investigators may be required to participate in proceedings related to the outcomes of investigations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in the field of Intellectual Disabilities required (3 years preferred). Applicant must be familiar with NYS Part 624 and Part 625 regulations and have at least one year of previous experience conducting incident investigations. Certification in Investigations, a plus. Excellent writing skills, a must. Position requires travel to Lifespire programs in all five boroughs of NYC. Applicant must be efficient, detail-oriented and able to work on a deadline. Participation in ongoing training is expected. Training is provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct interviews and complete investigations as assigned by the Supervisor as per Lifespire procedures. Write detailed final investigation reports and complete editing by specified deadline. Attend ongoing trainings as necessary. Participate in any proceedings requiring testimony by the investigator. Comply with all Lifespire Policies and Procedures; agency goals and other duties as assigned.

Pay:

$39,548.60 per year
