Job Overview The Resource Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals within the school which extends to that of the community. This position involves a combination of surveillance, conflict management, and leadership to maintain a secure environment. Officer will need to be comfortable approaching people and engaging with staff, parents and students all day. Ideally, this officer is extroverted by nature. available for all scheduled shifts, as the students, faculty and parents want to get to know the same officer all year. Typically, these shifts are about 7-8 hours long and Monday- Friday. Occasionally, there are campus events which may require special additional hours. (advance notice will be given) Duties (May Include) Conduct regular surveillance to monitor activities and ensure safety within designated areas. Provide leadership and guidance to team members and community. Assist in administering first aid as required in emergency situations. Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken. Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary. Clearance with DSS and appropriate medical requirements must be met Skills Proficient in surveillance techniques to monitor environments effectively. Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide students if required. Knowledge of loss prevention methods to safeguard resources. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Excellent report writing skills for clear documentation of incidents. Effective conflict management skills to resolve disputes amicably. This position requires a proactive individual who is committed to maintaining safety standards while fostering a supportive environment for all community members.

Pay:
