Job Description

Job Summary:
Maintain the integrity of the casino's gaming operations through effective CCTV monitoring and investigation of casino's activities on a per-shift basis. Notify Surveillance Shift Managers of non-compliance with regulations, internal controls, and rules of the games as well as when integrity of assets are compromised. Document violations and remedial measures taken. Cooperate with Operations when surveillance coverage is required.

AM Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Duties/Responsibilities:
Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and /or safety risks and reporting them to the appropriate individual or entity for proper resolution through regular inspections Ensure quality observations and investigations in the Surveillance Department on assigned shift Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Virginia Lottery Board, and ensures strict adherence to the same throughout the property. Protects casino assets and gaming integrity through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor Assists with directing the flow of surveillance reports to the proper individuals per surveillance management, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality Ability to work as a team in an effort to develop fellow surveillance team member and the Surveillance Department Create daily activity reports and prepares necessary reports for management Coordinates, with the Surveillance Management, when surveillance discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention as appropriate Incorporates information throughout the department, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings Observes, documents, records, and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property Reviews surveillance videos and reports, providing detailed information to Surveillance Management as needed Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum 2 years of surveillance experience preferred. Two years of formal schooling or military experience or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred. Certifications, Licenses, and/or
Registrations:
Able to obtain and retain gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedures manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents Ability to write effective reports, memos, equipment repair logs, training guides and inventory control programs Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations Ability to learn casino fraudulent crimes, how to detect such crimes, and how to document court admissible evidence of such crimes Ability to learn how to operate an extremely complex CCTV system Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with various business units within gaming operations Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment background checks as required Physical, Environmental, and other requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Must be able to sit for long periods of time Must be able to grip or grasp items for 75% of the time Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays Working in an office environment and throughout the property in all locations Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
