Lead Carpenter/Supervisor

Overview Rhodes Construction is a high-end design/build contractor specializing in luxury outdoor living spaces throughout the Bay Area. We build custom composite decks, pavilions, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, hardscape, concrete, and ADUs with a strong focus on craftsmanship, professionalism, and client experience. We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Carpenter / Foreman who can take ownership of projects in the field, lead crews efficiently, maintain quality control, and represent the company professionally with clients. Responsibilities Lead and manage crews on residential construction projects Build high-end composite decking systems (Trex, TimberTech, etc.) Frame and construct custom pavilions, pergolas, and outdoor structures Install cable railing, lighting, and outdoor living features Coordinate and assist with hardscape and paver installations Build outdoor kitchens and BBQ areas Handle basic plumbing and electrical work related to outdoor projects Read plans, layout projects, and solve problems independently Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Communicate professionally with homeowners and subcontractors Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet company quality standards Requirements 5+ years of hands-on carpentry/construction experience Strong experience with: Composite decking Structural framing Outdoor living construction Pavers and hardscape Cable railing systems Exterior finish work Ability to lead and train crew members Comfortable reading plans and taking measurements/layouts Basic understanding of: Plumbing Electrical Drainage Concrete work Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license Must have own tools Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to work independently without constant supervision Preferred Qualifications Experience running jobs from start to finish Equipment operation experience (skid steer, mini excavator, etc.) Knowledge of Bay Area building practices and inspections Ability to communicate clearly with clients Experience with luxury/high-end residential projects What We Offer Consistent year-round work Opportunity for advancement and leadership growth High-end projects with strong design focus Supportive team environment Competitive pay based on skill and production Potential bonuses for efficiency and project performance To Apply Please send: Resume or work history Photos of past projects (preferred) References Brief description of your experience and skillset We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up consistently, and can help us continue building some of the best outdoor living spaces in the Bay Area.
