Medical Assistant Blackhawk Plastic Surgery, Danville, CA Compensation:

Danville, CA Practice Overview Blackhawk Plastic Surgery is a high-performing plastic surgery and MedSpa practice in Danville, CA. We specialize in surgical procedures, aesthetic treatments, injectables, and advanced skincare, with a strong focus on patient experience and clinical excellence. Our team works closely together, moves quickly, and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, high-quality care at every step of the patient journey. The Role We are seeking a Surgical Technician / Medical Assistant to support both the operating room and clinic. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoys being an essential part of both surgical and aesthetic patient care. You will work closely with the providers and the team to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience from consult through post-procedure care. Operating Room Support Scrub and assist during surgical procedures Anticipate surgeon needs and assist with efficient case flow Prepare and organize instruments, implants, and sterile supplies Maintain sterile field and strict aseptic technique Assist with patient positioning, prep, and intraoperative support Clinical & Patient Care Support Assist providers with patient visits, treatments, and procedures Support pre-op, post-op, and follow-up appointments Take standardized medical before-and-after photos Guide patients through their visit with clear communication and care MedSpa Support Assist providers with aesthetic treatments and patient flow Prepare patients for treatments, including applying numbing cream as directed Capture high-quality before-and-after photos and assist with VISIA skin analysis imaging Ensure rooms are fully prepped and ready for each treatment Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Operate and monitor HBOT treatments per protocol Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper documentation Room & Clinic Operations Turn over rooms efficiently between patients Prepare and stock treatment rooms for surgical and MedSpa providers Maintain cleanliness and organization across all clinical areas Patient Communication Communicate with patients via phone, email, and Weave text messaging Provide timely follow-up and support patient questions What We're Looking For Required Surgical Technician certification or Medical Assistant certification (or relevant experience) 4+ years of clinical or surgical experience preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting Clear communicator with a patient-first mindset Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented Preferred Experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or aesthetics Experience assisting in the OR Familiarity with patient photography and skin analysis tools Comfortable supporting both surgical and MedSpa workflows Why This Role Stands Out Direct, hands-on experience across OR, clinic, and MedSpa Variety in your day with meaningful patient interaction A strong team that values preparation, accountability, and follow-through Opportunity to grow skills in both surgical and aesthetic care Core Expectation Be a consistent, reliable support to providers and the team.
