Job Description
Qualifications Qualifications:
1.Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 2.Education:
Two years or equivalent experience in cleaning and maintaining building areas, preferably in a school setting; and/or any combination of related training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Basic computer knowledge. 3.Licenses:
Possession of a valid California Driver's License and the ability to qualify for District vehicle insurance coverage. Ability to obtain all required federal, state, and local licenses and/or certification as necessary for cleaning materials, equipment, etc.Application Procedure:

8.0 hours per day, Monday - Friday, twelve months. Day shift hours are 6:15 a.m. - 2:45 p.m., which incorporate an unpaid, duty-free lunch break of 30 minutes. The chosen candidate for the position will be asked to start immediately in the position, once clearances from a fingerprinting background check and tuberculosis assessment are confirmed. A new classified employee must pass a six-month probationary period to become a permanent employee of the District. A current employee must pass a six-month probationary period in a new position when the new position is a permanent assignment in a higher classification.Salary:
Placement on classified salary range 27 is dependent on experience as a lead custodian. The annual salary ranges from $46,395 to $59,263, which corresponds to $3,866.26 to $4,938.59 per month, or $22.31 to $28.49 per hour. The monthly salary is disbursed in two paychecks, on the 10th and 25th of the month.Benefits:
An excellent benefits package is offered to employees who work 50% or more of a full-time position, with the District contributing up to $20,406 per year per employee. The benefits year runs October 1 through September 30. Eligible employees hired after August 1, 2026 may be assessed a late start payment in order to bring the new hire into compliance with the premium payment schedule. If not already a member, the new employee will be enrolled in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS).
