Job Description
Objectives:
The Assistant operations manager position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of their site while meeting or exceeding company standards. The operations manager will run their site to maintain safety, DOT compliance, customer satisfaction, inventory, revenue, ordering, and under the guidance of your regional operations manager. This is a fast passed environment and the best candidate for the position would be someone capable of making quick decisions to ensure customer satisfaction while meeting or exceeding company standards. Supervise, manage, and schedule facility employees. Manage daily route scheduling, inventory, customer opportunities, and provide excellent customer service. •MUST HAVE FORKLIFT

Assistant Manager :
essential duties and responsibilities include the following:- Supervise and manage daily operations and facility employees.
- Ensure proper maintenance of facility and storage units.
- Provide excellent customer service by executing deliveries and other requests for service, properly, as scheduled, and in a professional manner.
- Ability to safely drive/operate delivery truck for extended periods of time and in all driving conditions.
- Make recommendations for employee actions including hiring, pay, performance reviews, and terminations.
- A professional with at least 5 years' experience in transportation and/or logistics or a combination of the 2. Customer service and/or sales experience is a plus.
- Experience managing a fleet of 2-5 tucks and handling all aspects of the equipment. IE Maintenance, repairs, Inspections, and documentation.
- Working knowledge of Department of Transportation rule and regulations.
- Inventory control experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience interpreting a P&L and using that information to drive revenue.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education - High School diploma required. B.S. or B.A. preferred. Experience - Minimum of 2 years customer/client service experience. Minimum of 1 year of store operations and/or management experience. Must have a clean driving record. Experience driving truck and forklift preferred. Supervision of up to 2 employees including training, delegating tasks, motivating positive behaviors, providing feedback, and evaluating work performance. Class A orB CDL REQUIRED

Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Ability to evaluate and establish effective processes and procedures. Ability to coach and motivate others. Ability to use power tools and forklift safely. Specialized knowledge and/or licenses -- Will hold a Class A or B CDL
- Previous forklift experience or be willing to become certified after hire.
- The willingness and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment while always maintaining the standard that Safety is our #1 priority.
- Experience with Transflo & Lytx is a plus.
- Experience hiring your own employee's.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard and telephone number pad.
- Ability to safely drive/operate delivery truck for extended periods of time and in all driving conditions.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to stand for up to two hours.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to see for purposes of reading printed material and driving.
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
- Ability to speak so that others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation both in person and over the phone.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
