On-call availability for emergencies Position Overview A growing agricultural operations company is seeking a dependable, experienced, and hardworking individual to fill the role of Lead Farm Equipment & Diesel Mechanic. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing a wide variety of agricultural equipment, diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment used in daily farm and operational support activities. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic abilities, welding and fabrication experience, and the ability to work independently while prioritizing repairs in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical to keeping equipment, transportation, and operational systems running efficiently with minimal downtime. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-trucks, farm trucks, trailers, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, agricultural equipment, hydraulic systems, and refrigeration trailer units. Perform preventative maintenance and PM servicing. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and diesel systems. Use diagnostic scanners and troubleshoot equipment fault codes. Perform welding and metal fabrication. Complete bodywork repairs and painting when needed. Repair and maintain trailers and roll-up doors. Order parts and maintain inventory of shop supplies. Maintain organization and cleanliness of shop and tools. Operate heavy equipment safely when needed. Respond to emergency breakdowns and urgent repair situations. Qualifications & Experience Strong diesel mechanic experience required Experience with agricultural and heavy equipment preferred Welding and fabrication experience required Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities Ability to work independently and prioritize workload Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and diesel systems Experience servicing refrigeration trailer units preferred Valid driver's license required CDL preferred but not required Benefits Employees are eligible for a benefits package following completion of the required probationary period, including: Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision Paid time off (PTO) Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
