The Sewing Instructor Assistant will be responsible for working with groups of students between the ages of 7-17. This person will be helping the lead instructor to teach kids how to sew, drape, sketch and organize kids in fashion activities during camp hours and classes. This is a great opportunity for current fashion students as they will significantly improve their sewing skills as well as apply knowledge of fashion concepts in practice while supervised by lead instructors with years of experience in technical and creative design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Lead Instructor teaching kids ages between 7 and 17 years old basic sewing techniques Create a safe and fun environment for campers Give exact instructions on how the projects should be assembled Maintain the room clean and in good condition all the time SKILLS Sewing Experience preferred but we can train! Strong organizational skills and creative thinking Patience and good attitude to work with kids and ability to maintain discipline during class Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills Good communication skills to explain ideas clearly and persuasively
