TITLE:
Lead Low Incidence LBS (for LS/Target)S
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. LBS1 2. Additional Type -75 administrative certification or supervisory certification preferred.
REPORTS TO
Special Services Administrators
JOB GOAL
To provide leadership and coordination for the Low Incidence LBS's and staff throughout the district.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Acts as key communicator between all Low Incidence stakeholders, including parents, administration, staff and special education staff. 2. Provides/secures professional development throughout the year to other Low Incidence LBS's in the district. 3. Schedules and facilitates regularly scheduled meetings with all district Low Incidence LBS's. 4. Compiles and maintains workload amounts amongst all Low Incidence LBS's in the district. 5. Coach / mentor new Low Incidence LBS's. 6. Presents staffing allocation recommendations to the Special Education Administrative team on a regular basis, and especially for the start of each new school year. 7. Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and/or self-selected professional growth activities. 8. Knowledge of best practices in Low Incidence programming and legal updates as they relate to the school profession. 9. Maintains confidentiality related to student information. 10. Performs other responsibilities as requested by the Special Services Coordinators and the Director of Special Services. 11. May require summer work and/or professional development.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
There will be one Lead Low Incidence LBS stipend for the District. Stipend as set by the Board of Education. The stipend may be split between more than one staff member.
EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated annually by the Special Services Coordinators and the Director of Special Services
