We've been at this for over a century, and we need a Lead Manufacturing Engineer who can marry that long-standing expertise with modern, expert-level CNC programming. In this role, you'll be the technical authority on the floor. You won't just be managing-you'll be designing, programming, and launching complex products from the initial concept all the way through to production. Ownership:
Own the CNC programs and machining strategies for products that go into world-class aerospace and defense projects.
Technical Growth:
Work daily with advanced multi-axis machining (3, 4, and 5-axis) and complex part geometries.

Lead the implementation of capital equipment and influence the future of our production floor.

Responsibilities:
Lead the development of manufacturing processes from customer bid packages, prints, and specifications. Develop and own CNC programs for new products, including tool selection, workholding, and cycle time optimization. Serve as the subject matter expert for CNC programming, focusing on multi-axis machining and complex geometries. Build routing, process flows, and production plans to support quoting and execution. Drive new product introduction (NPI) from concept through production launch and capability validation. Identify continuous improvement projects to reduce equipment downtime, increase productivity, and reduce scrap. Mentor and support team members in CNC programming and machining best practices. Ensure all processes meet industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and
IATF 16949.

PM Skills:
Advanced Education:
Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience or a Master's degree with 5 years of experience.
NPI Strategy:
Specific experience leading machining strategies for new product introductions.
Analysis Tools:
Proficiency with Minitab or JMP for process capability studies.
Design Tools:
Experience using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
Education:
Associate Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree in engineering.
Experience:
Nine years in a manufacturing environment, specifically focusing on CNC programming and process development.
Technical Mastery:
Demonstrated experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis machining and tight tolerance manufacturing.
Software:
Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam, NX, or Fusion 360 for toolpath simulation.
Foundational Knowledge:
Deep understanding of cutting theory, tooling, and workholding.
