Full-time Job Title Secondary Operations Lead Operator Overview :

Responsible for performing secondary/finishing operations on injection-molded parts while providing day-to-day leadership, support, and coordination within the Secondary Operations department. Acts as a backup to the Site Manager and helps ensure production, quality, and safety standards are met.

Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED required 2+ years of experience in Secondary Operations or similar manufacturing environment Demonstrated ability to perform most or all Secondary Operations jobs Able to operate hand-held tools, including trimming knife, de-burring tool, jigs and fixtures Prior experience with hot stamping, drill press, milling machine, and/or sonic welder machines preferred Strong attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to lead by example and support/train other operators Ability to identify and escalate quality or production issues Maintain safe work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities:

Production & Quality:

Perform all Secondary Operations tasks, including operating machines and hand tools Complete initial inspection of injection-molded parts and determine if they are conforming or non-conforming Communicate immediately with Site Manager if non-conforming product is identified Maintain high productivity while ensuring quality standards are met Package, label, and assemble parts as required Maintain clean and organized workstations

Lead Operator Responsibilities:

Serve as a resource for Secondary Operations operators on the floor Provide on-the-job training and support for new and existing employees Monitor operator performance and reinforce quality and efficiency expectations Assist with troubleshooting basic process, equipment, or quality issues Ensure adherence to SOPs and safety requirements Support communication between operators, Quality, and Site Manager Support basic production reporting and communication

Supervisor Backup Responsibilities:

Act as backup to the Site Manager as needed Assist with break coverage coordination and daily workflow adjustment Support basic production reporting and communication Escalate personnel, safety, or quality concerns appropriately Support department initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Pull/issue required inventory items for upcoming jobs. Assigning work and prioritizing jobs based on production needs Preform daily shipping requirements. Setup machines for upcoming work orders. Count and return items after job is completed.
