The Lead Pastry Cook at Miraval Berkshires is responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods in accordance with our high standards. This role involves creativity, precision, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Pastry Cook will collaborate closely with the Pastry Chef and kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. Key Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare and bake: Produce a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, pies, bread, tarts, and pastries, ensuring high quality and consistency.
  • Recipe execution: Follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation of all baked items.
  • Ingredient management: Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes, using a variety of kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Quality control: Inspect and ensure the quality of ingredients and finished products, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
  • Cleanliness and hygiene: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional pastry kitchen.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role.
