Lead Radiology Tech

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible to Director for departmental operations, to include scheduling and coordination of technologists and modalities. Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs various radiology services and duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply acquired radiation knowledge for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for supervising ancillary personnel and students assigned within the department. Controls work progress within those areas of designated responsibility. Processes information on the Center's Health Information system as required in performing responsibilities. Together with Director makes recommendations for process improvement initiatives, disciplinary actions, hiring and terminations.

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology. Must possess an ARRT designation and registered in a minimum of two modalities. Pursues programs of continuing education consistent with requirements of ARRT and Granville Medical Center. Knowledge of current trends and techniques in imaging services appropriate to the practice setting. Minimum 3 years experience in management and/or supervision.
