Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding patient care, supporting clinical procedures, and ensuring operational efficiency. Candidates must demonstrate clinical expertise, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to patient satisfaction and safety. Primary Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Support
  • Deliver exceptional chairside support with empathy, professionalism, and clinical precision.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before procedures.
  • Seat patients and ensure comfort throughout their visit.
  • Obtain and record medical histories and vital signs as instructed.
  • Take high-quality diagnostic radiographs (X-rays) per regulatory standards.
  • Assist in a range of procedures, including restorative, surgical, endodontic, preventive, and emergency care.
  • Fabricate temporary crowns and trays; take accurate impressions.
  • Document procedures and treatment plans using dental software.
  • Communicate post-operative care instructions and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Facilitate hand-offs to Treatment Coordinators for case presentation and scheduling.
  • Help manage patient flow and support efficient clinic operations. Sterilization & Infection Control
  • Comply with OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA guidelines for infection control and safety.
  • Sterilize instruments and disinfect operatories thoroughly between patients.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and stocked clinical environment.
  • Oversee emergency kits and safety equipment readiness. Administrative & Lab Support
  • Accurately chart procedures and maintain up-to-date patient records.
  • Prepare and track dental lab cases; follow up on pending deliveries.
  • Support front office team with filing, recall, and appointment coordination as needed. Inventory & Equipment Maintenance
  • Monitor clinical supply levels and submit orders as necessary.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and report service needs promptly. Team Collaboration
  • Work cohesively with dentists and team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Promote a positive and professional work environment through effective communication and mutual respect.
  • Contribute to the practice's productivity and patient retention goals. Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program.
  • Dental Radiology Certification (Florida).
  • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification (Florida).
  • CPR/BLS Certification.
  • Minimum 2+ years of chairside assisting experience in a dental office.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and Microsoft Office. Key Competencies

  • Skilled in radiographic techniques and four-handed dentistry.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs during clinical duties.
  • Exposure to clinical substances and biohazards.
  • Use of dental equipment, digital systems, and PPE.
  • May require extended hours or occasional weekend shifts. Work Hours This is a full-time position (minimum 40 hours/week), Monday through Saturday. Flexibility is a must. Performance Metrics (KPIs)
