Sea Bags, the original maker of one-of-a-kind totes, handbags, and accessories crafted in the USA from recycled sailboat sails, is looking for a Seasonal Part-Time Lead Sales Associate to join our oceanfront summer pop-up team. We'll be operating a small retail shop out of a shack on the pier in Wiscasset, welcoming locals and visitors alike to experience the Sea Bags story in a fun, outdoor coastal setting. Support onboarding and coaching team members while serving as a reliable point person during shifts. Provide exceptional customer service while sharing the Sea Bags brand story. Engage customers with product knowledge and personalized recommendations. Perform day-to-day pop-up operations, including sales transactions, merchandising, and maintaining an inviting retail space. Help create a welcoming, upbeat shopping experience in a unique waterfront setting. Work collaboratively with the team to keep the shop running smoothly during the summer season. What We're Looking For A friendly, customer-focused attitude and enthusiasm for connecting with people. Strong communication and organizational skills. Interest in sustainability and the Sea Bags mission. Ability to learn and confidently share company history and product details. Comfort using a point-of-sale system and iPad. Previous experience in a leadership, key holder, or supervisory retail role preferred. Ability to motivate a small team, take initiative, and confidently handle day-to-day decision-making in a fast-paced seasonal environment. A team-player mindset with a willingness to jump in wherever needed. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Availability to work flexible summer shifts, including weekends and occasional longer days during peak business periods. Comfort working in an outdoor retail environment by the water throughout the summer season.
