Lead Teacher, Summer Camp

Games, crafts, field trips and special events... summer at Holding Hands is all of that and more! We are currently look for a summer camp teacher who will be working with children from 5 to 10 years-old. The candidate will have some lesson planning responsibilities and teach in an innovative, quality environment. Teachers enjoy weekly planning periods and ample classroom budgets/resources. Teachers work with other support staff in a low-ratio environment. Holding Hands Family Care & Learning Center is committed to high quality, early education programs and has recently been rated as a 4-star center by Grow NJ Kids. We support staff members like we support children with caring attitudes, open communication and clear expectations. We treat our staff with respect and work to build relationships where staff can learn new things and grow as a person. Most importantly, we are all dedicated to the children and making each day fun and engaging for them. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. This position starts in mid-June and continues through the end of August.

Qualifications :

Classroom teaching experience required CDA, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Willingness to continue education and participate in annual training programs Basic computer proficiency Positive attitude and enthusiasm for young people Ability to lift 35-40 pounds; get down/get up from floor; stand for extended periods; and work outside Meet all staff requirements including clear criminal and child abuse records CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to complete
