Lead Tile Installer

Full Job Description:

Growing high-end tile installation company seeking a skilled Lead Tile Installer for residential projects throughout NYC and Long Island. This role is for an experienced installer who can handle full installations from start to finish, maintain high-quality standards, and work independently or with a helper. We focus on quality craftsmanship and clean installations , not rushed production work.

Responsibilities:

Install tile on floors, walls, and showers Perform proper substrate prep (cement board, waterproofing, membranes) Layout tile for clean, balanced installs Mix and apply thinset, mortar, and grout Make precise cuts using wet saws and grinders Install waterproofing systems (Schluter, Laticrete, etc.) Maintain a clean and organized jobsite Work professionally in occupied homes

Qualifications:

Minimum 2-5 years of tile installation experience Ability to complete installations independently Strong understanding of layout, leveling systems, and proper coverage Experience with waterproofing systems required Ability to read plans is a plus Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation Ability to travel to jobs throughout NYC and Long Island Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts

Work Location:

Multiple job sites (NYC & Long Island)
