Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
Responsible for all Cost Savings Activities Manage with "Total Cost Methodology." Support the Key Account Manager in New Program Procurement. Support Inventory Management optimization through us of Plan-For-Every-Part (PFEP) Methodology Manage assigned New Program Launches. Ensure Cost Per Unit (CPU) reporting is completed and published each month Work with manufacturers on Tooling improvements and problem resolution. Attend/Present Plant Productivity meetings. Vendor/Customer problem resolution.Develop Professional Business Relationships with:
Ensure Manufacturer Visit Statistics are maintained for all facilities Support resolution of Customer Satisfaction Issues at all assigned facilities Perform other miscellaneous activities as requested by Management. •Employee will be responsible as the Lead for the Tooling in the metro Detroit area•SKILLS REQUIRED
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proficiency in calculating and comprehending Manufacturing KPIs and Business AnalyticsQUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must possess a Mechanical Engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years hands on experience in a Manufacturing environment with an emphasis on tool life management, machine up-time, work-holding, manufacturer communications and lean applications. Familiarity with all types of cutting tools (drills, mills, reamers, etc.) and abrasive tools (grinding, honing, polishing, etc.) Well rounded understanding of materials, surface finishes, and surface treatments Ability to read and understand tooling and work piece blueprints Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on Excel Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills Certification of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is desiredJob Type:
