JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title:
Lead Wait Staff Reports to:Dining Room Manager FLSA Status:
Hourly Non-Exempt Job Purpose:
Working as a peer of the wait staff, responsible for training, mentoring and coordination of details, ensuring excellent customer service is provided to residents and guests.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for training new wait staff.
- Expected to be fully knowledgeable about the day\'s menu and special, to be able to answer any questions from staff and residents.
- Completing opening and closing side work.
- Waiting on tables.
- Bussing and resetting tables.
- Overseeing that the wait staff are completing their side work.
- Responsible for making sure the dining room is set up and ready to go for service.
- Must be able to handle any resident\'s concerns.
- Helping residents to their tables.
- Assisting residents with buffet service.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
- Applies \"5 Star\" customer service approach in all aspects of job.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.
- Attends required in-services and training.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a wait staff.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of point of sales system.
- Knowledge of food & beverage preparation.
- Experience in working in a CCRC community preferred.
