Job Description
A Taste of What You'll Do As the East Coast Operations Learning & Development Program Manager, you'll play a critical role in building the technical capability, confidence, and performance of our Operations and Production teams. This role sits at the intersection of people development and operational excellence, ensuring our workforce has the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to safely and efficiently deliver on business goals. You'll lead the full lifecycle of learning—from assessing training needs and designing impactful curriculum to delivering, sustaining, and evaluating technical and in-depth operational training programs. Working closely with Operations leaders and subject matter experts, you'll translate business priorities into effective learning experiences for both new and existing employees. Your influence will extend across formal classroom instruction, hands-on training, on-the-job learning, and registered apprenticeship programs. In this role, you'll guide and support trainers who deliver hands-on learning to Production teams, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment to standards. You'll leverage Lean principles, TWI practices, and continuous improvement tools to eliminate waste, strengthen standard work, and elevate training effectiveness. You'll also oversee compliance, EHS training, and LMS administration, ensuring records are accurate and training obligations are met. - Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of Production, Operations, or Logistics, experience with strong emphasis on training or educator experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of Production, Operations, or Logistics, experience with strong emphasis on training or educator experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
- Experience leading project teams.
- Required to work an off-shift (swing or graveyard) when necessary.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description. How You'll Stand Out
- Experience applying Adult Learning Techniques, ADDIE Model, Instructional Design, and evaluating training programs (Kirkpatrick 4 levels).
- Experience using Training within Industry (TWI) practices and developing standard work instructions and job instruction breakdowns.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes and experience conducting statistical analysis in a manufacturing environment.
