6 months, with a great possibility for conversion for the right candidate Position Overview The Marketing Compliance Reviewer is responsible for reviewing proposed marketing and advertising materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and regulatory expectations. This role serves as a key risk and compliance control by helping mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risk associated with consumer-facing financial marketing content. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with consumer protection and marketing compliance laws and an understanding of regulatory expectations related to financial products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Review marketing, advertising, and promotional materials for compliance with applicable consumer protection laws and internal policies Evaluate consumer-facing content related to financial products and services for regulatory accuracy and required disclosures Identify potential compliance risks and provide clear guidance or required revisions to marketing partners Ensure marketing materials align with regulatory expectations, including standards related to unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices (UDAAP) Collaborate with marketing, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to support compliant advertising practices Maintain thorough documentation of reviews, approvals, and compliance recommendations Stay informed on evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to marketing compliance
Qualifications & Skills:
Familiarity with consumer protection and marketing compliance laws and regulations Understanding of regulatory requirements related to financial services advertising and disclosures Knowledge of regulations such as: Truth in Lending Act (TILA) Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) UDAAP principles and regulatory expectations Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential compliance risks Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple reviews in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and organizational skills Prior experience in compliance, risk management, legal review, banking, financial services, or marketing compliance preferred
