Lewisburg Preschool Bus Monitor

Student Safety & Supervision Help children safely board and exit the bus Ensure all students are seated properly, often in assigned seats Monitor behavior to prevent unsafe actions (standing, fighting, etc.) Support for Preschool-Age Children Provide extra assistance to very young children, including those with special needs Help students who may need guidance with following directions or routines Offer reassurance to children who may be anxious or upset Communication Work closely with the bus driver to maintain a safe environment Report any behavioral issues, safety concerns, or incidents to school staff Communicate with teachers or parents when needed Attendance & Accountability Keep track of which children are on the bus Ensure each child gets off at the correct stop and is released safely to an authorized adult Emergency Preparedness Know emergency procedures (evacuations, accidents, medical issues) Help guide children during drills or real emergencies Use basic first aid (will be trained)
