Permanent Full Time An exciting opportunity exists to join Waverley Library as a Librarian - Digital Engagement , supporting the delivery of innovative and accessible library services that meet the evolving needs of our community. About us Waverley Library, located in the vibrant heart of Bondi Junction, serves as a central hub for community engagement and learning in Waverley, NSW. This modern library offers a diverse collection of books, eBooks, magazines, and multimedia resources, catering to all age groups and interests. With facilities including a digitisation station, study areas, meeting rooms, and a dedicated children's section, it provides a welcoming environment for all. The library also hosts various events, workshops, and programs aimed at fostering a love for reading, creativity, and lifelong learning. Salary:

From skin checks and flu shots to our bi-annual health fair, we're committed to helping you stay healthy Employee Assistance Program The Role You will play a key part in enhancing digital literacy, improving access to technology, and supporting customers to confidently engage with a range of library digital services and platforms.
In this role you will:
Deliver customer - focused library services that respond to community needs Support patrons in using library technology, digital tools, and online resources Develop and lead innovative digital programming for a wide range of community members Develop a programming schedule for the creative technology items in the new Library of Things Work collaboratively with library staff to deliver high-quality, innovative services Support continuous improvement in service delivery and digital offerings. What you'll bring Bachelor level qualifications in Library and Information studies or other relevant area. Demonstrated ability to identify new technologies/digital opportunities that benefit library service delivery and programming. Experience in developing and implementing events and programs. Proven experience in a customer-facing role and enthusiastic approach to working with the community. Demonstrated experience in project management, procedure writing and implementation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals and organisations. Proven organisational skills, a commitment to deliver outcomes to deadlines and a willingness to embrace change. Current Working with Children Check.
