Job Description

Header Overview Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Associate Counselor, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, evidence-based care to diverse populations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical skills across a broad spectrum of therapeutic modalities while making a meaningful difference in clients' lives. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality mental health services in outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings. Your expertise will help foster resilience, promote recovery, and support individuals through their unique journeys toward wellness. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately document client histories and presenting issues Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage urgent situations effectively and ensure client safety Deliver specialized counseling for child & family issues, including working with children with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder Facilitate addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, and gender issues counseling tailored to client needs Maintain meticulous medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology for accurate record keeping Engage in clinical research activities, data collection, and case management to support continuous improvement of treatment protocols Qualifications Valid license or certification as an Associate Counselor or equivalent in your state or region Proven experience in psychotherapy, social work, or mental health counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings Strong knowledge of crisis management, behavior management, and medical documentation standards Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical terminology Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy sessions effectively Ability to work with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, and those experiencing chronic pain or trauma-related issues Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude toward patient care and team collaboration Join us to empower individuals on their path to mental wellness!
