Licensed Massage Therapist, Independent Contractor

Job Overview Established massage office seeking a passionate and skilled licensed massage therapist to join our dynamic team as an independent contractor. You must be available at least 2 Saturdays per month and be able to keep a consistent schedule. In this role, you will deliver exceptional massage therapy services to clients, focusing on promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness. Your expertise will help clients achieve their health goals through tailored treatments that address their unique needs. Responsibilities Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to alleviate pain and tension. Conduct patient assessments to understand individual health concerns, treatment goals, and contraindications. Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to develop effective treatment plans tailored to each client. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness and occupational health needs. Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient progress, and any relevant medical history in compliance with privacy regulations. Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all clients by adhering to sanitation standards and clinic protocols. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize client outcomes when necessary. Skills Proven experience in patient service with a focus on delivering high-quality massage therapy. Strong ability to perform patient assessment and customize treatments accordingly. Expertise in deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy techniques for effective pain management. This is an absolute must, as this is the type of massage most of our clients are seeking. Comprehensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters client trust. Familiarity with occupational health principles and med spa practices is preferred.
