Job Description

  • Looking for Part-time Licensed Professional
  • Hours are school based with work over the summer!

It provides child/adolescent mental health services to clients across Eastern NC. Getting Ready's mission is to provide quality services to its consumers and families through dedicated professionals using evidenced based practices to ensure accountability and professionalism at all times. Job Summary The Licensed Mental Health Therapist (i.e., Licensed Professional or LP) (LCSW/A; LPC/A, LPA or LMFT/A )is part of a Day Treatment team. The LP assists their clients in learning, developing, and utilizing coping strategies, social skills, and other skills to become successful and improve functioning in the school, home, and community settings. The LP provides weekly individual therapy sessions with all clients.
Education/experience/licensure requirements:
Master's Degree in a human service field required Fully or provisionally licensed in NC required (LCSW/A; LPC/A, LPA or LMFT/A ) 1 year post Bachelor's degree experience working with children who have behavioral diagnoses and their families required Responsibilities and Duties Provides weekly individual therapy sessions for all clients. May provide monthly family therapy sessions for all clients and their families. Sit in on weekly team meetings with all Day Treatment staff to review client cases. Documents each client's progress and the effectiveness of the strategies and interventions outlined in the PCP. This includes a written progress note for each individual and family therapy session with client. Conducts updated/yearly Comprehensive Clinical Assessments for current clients if needed. Completes annual PCPs for all clients. Completes incoming client CCAs/PCPs/initial documentation, on occasion/as needed. Qualified Skills
  • must meet the requirements for licensed or provisionally licensed professional according to staff definitions 10A
NCAC 27G .0104.
  • must be a minimum of .5 (FTE) dedicated professional for every 18 enrolled recipients and be actively involved in service delivery.
  • must be fully licensed within 30 months from the date of hire.
  • must have the skill, knowledge, and ability with child/adolescent mental health.
  • LP must complete the training requirements indicated by the service definition.
