Licensed Plumber Kennewick, WA 99336 $29.62 - $42.95 an hour $29.62 - $42.95 an hour Job Summary Homeland has partnered with a regional healthcare provider serving a multi-site hospital system to hire a Licensed Plumber to join their facilities team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Licensed Plumber to make a direct impact on system reliability, infrastructure performance, and overall patient care. In this role, the Licensed Plumber will support critical hospital infrastructure through hands-on work with complex plumbing, mechanical, and specialty systems. The Licensed Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing and related mechanical systems across hospital and facility environments. This role supports daily plant operations through preventive maintenance, technical repairs, and timely response to system issues. Working closely with plant operations leadership and external vendors, this individual ensures facility systems remain safe, efficient, and fully operational. This is a highly hands-on position requiring the ability to respond to real-time facility needs while supporting ongoing maintenance initiatives. The ideal candidate brings experience working in commercial or large-scale facility environments and is comfortable managing complex building systems rather than residential service work. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including domestic water, sewer, gas, and piping systems Maintain hydronic/steam heating, chilled water, and specialty systems (RO, de-ionized water, medical gas, fire protection) Troubleshoot plumbing and mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs Assemble, install, and maintain additional mechanical systems and equipment Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents; apply plumbing and building codes Respond to facility issues and emergencies, supporting plant operations priorities Maintain accurate work records, logs, and documentation Follow all safety procedures and support regulatory compliance Collaborate with plant operations leadership and coordinate work with vendors/contractors Requirements 2 years post-high school vocational/specialized training preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience 5+ years plumbing experience in commercial, industrial, or large facilities (preferred over residential) Experience with complex plumbing and mechanical systems in large buildings Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and preventive maintenance skills Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, education, government) preferred Licensed plumber and valid driver's license required Knowledge of plumbing codes, building regulations, and safety protocols Ability to work independently and in a team, manage tasks, and prioritize in fast-paced environments Hospital/healthcare facility experience a plus Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in mechanical rooms or confined spaces Minimal travel required (up to 10%) Benefits Along with a competitive pay of $29.62-$42.95 per hour, depending on experience, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and paid time off.
