Job Description

The Cardiology LPN assists the providers with diagnostic studies as well as all clinical care of patients; to include assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Will also have general responsibilities to assist in the day-to-day clinical operations of the office. EducationSee License/Certification RequirementsExperienceOne year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.

Licenses & Certifications
  • Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse or Multistate Nursing License
  • Healthcare Provider (CPR) or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Qualifications
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Critical care experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one year nursing experience.

  • Customer Service
  • Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills Communicates effectively with patients and management regarding service recovery opportunities. Works together with other team members to achieve Office and System customer service goals

  • Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent medical assistant duties Participates in continuing education Participates in the development of new programs (ex: Process Improvement, Quality Initiatives)
  • Patient Care
  • Demonstrates competency in patient care Maintain patient's safe passage in and out of the clinic, and ancillary services Greet, assess and interview patients Review present medications, allergy history, chief complaint, and brief interrogation of complaint Update medication list and current problem list Obtain past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, vital signs Anticipate needs of patients, and the doctor under whom I work Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by medical staff Monitoring of patient during examination, or procedure Administers injections, performs phlebotomy and/or lab testing, etc.
as directed by provider Obtains referrals and pre-certifications as necessary Acts as a liaison between provider and patient Explains medications, side effects, treatments, diets, diseases and disease processes . Supplies patients with medication samples as instructed by provider. Communicates with patients over the telephone, provides tests results, answers questions, responds to messages in a timely manner, and provides clear documentation of this communication in the patient's record. Monitors diagnostic tests therapy including but not limited to EKG's, ABI's, EECP, holter and event monitors and stress tests. Maintains strict confidentiality. is subject to general review only and requires considerable accuracy and responsibility. Continually works with medicines, lab equipment, and confidential information. Maintains patient confidentiality
