Job Description
The Cardiology LPN assists the providers with diagnostic studies as well as all clinical care of patients; to include assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Will also have general responsibilities to assist in the day-to-day clinical operations of the office. EducationSee License/Certification RequirementsExperienceOne year of related experience. Duties may involve the preparation of data on which the administration bases important decisions and are highly confidential.

Licenses & Certifications
- Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse or Multistate Nursing License
- Healthcare Provider (CPR) or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- BLS required within 30 days of hire.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Critical care experience preferred.
- Minimum of one year nursing experience.
- Customer Service
- Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills Communicates effectively with patients and management regarding service recovery opportunities. Works together with other team members to achieve Office and System customer service goals
- Development
- Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent medical assistant duties Participates in continuing education Participates in the development of new programs (ex: Process Improvement, Quality Initiatives)
- Patient Care
- Demonstrates competency in patient care Maintain patient's safe passage in and out of the clinic, and ancillary services Greet, assess and interview patients Review present medications, allergy history, chief complaint, and brief interrogation of complaint Update medication list and current problem list Obtain past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, vital signs Anticipate needs of patients, and the doctor under whom I work Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by medical staff Monitoring of patient during examination, or procedure Administers injections, performs phlebotomy and/or lab testing, etc.

- Maintains working knowledge of medical equipment and removes faulty equipment from use as necessary. Participates in safety programs
