Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Licensed Practical Nurse FEHE Enterprise is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide daytime nursing support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities supporting patients within South Georgia areas.
LPN Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies. Administer medications and ensure accurate and timely medication documentation on MARs. Perform wound care, skin assessments, vital sign monitoring, and other routine nursing procedures. Administer tube feedings and monitor individuals receiving specialized nutritional support. Assist with or oversee Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed to support individual health and well-being. Complete nursing assessments and document observations, concerns, and changes in condition appropriately. Monitor the overall health status of individuals served and report significant findings to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Coordinate and assist with scheduling and attending physician appointments as required. Maintain ongoing communication with physicians, pharmacies, healthcare providers, guardians, and interdisciplinary team members regarding individual care needs and medication updates. Oversee and support direct care staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure quality care and compliance with healthcare protocols. Ensure compliance with DBHDD standards, infection control procedures, medication administration guidelines, and agency policies. Perform additional nursing and related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required) Valid Driver License Experience in long-term care, developmental disabilities, or high-acuity residential settings preferred Hands-on experience with wound care, G-Tubes, ostomy care, and chronic condition management strongly preferred Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team Basic computer proficiency (EMR, Microsoft Office, Google Suite) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
