Job description Licensed Professional Job Summary Responsible for providing clinical consultation, supervision, and therapy services to clients of Rockwell Development Center (RDC).
Qualifications:
(1) A graduate of a college or university with a Master's degree in a related human service field and has one year of full-time, post-graduate accumulated
MH/DD/SAS
experience with the population service; or (2) a graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a related human service field and has two years of full-time post bachelor's accumulated
MH/DD/SAS
experience with the populations served; or (3) a graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a not related human service field and has four years of full-time, post bachelor's accumulated
MH/DD/SAS
experience with the populations serviced and/or (4) a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in the State of NC by the NC Board of Nursing and has four years of full-time accumulated experience in psychiatric mental health nursing. Licensed professional means an individual who holds a license or provisional license issued by the governing board regulating the human service profession in the state of North Carolina. Fully licensed clinicians must have at a minimum of 2 years' clinical experience. Demonstrates excellent verbal skills (essential to communicate clearly with clients and other staff members). Ability to work as part of a mental health team. Demonstration of licensure free from any record of ethics and boundaries sanctions or reports of any type of client abuse. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks; detail oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients. Interview clients to obtain information concerning social history, treatment, and other pertinent information. Plan and administer therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and stress management therapy to assist clients in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors. Clinically evaluate patients to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior. Review results of psychological evaluations and evaluations from community providers to assess client needs. Discuss progress toward goals and objectives, such as family relationships, educational programs, social development, discharge plans or other behavioral problems, with clients. Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Maintain electronic case records that are in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and other federal and state regulations. Meet with families and other interested parties in order to exchange necessary information during the assessment and treatment process. Participate in the collection of mental health information and student outcome data to be used for monitoring the overall performance and effectiveness of services provided. Refers students/families to community resources or to specialist as necessary. Clinical supervision of the Qualified Professional specified in rule. 1702 10a NCAC 27g .1705. Contributes to program by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
