Unarmed Security Guard

We are looking for dedicated and professional individuals to join our security team and ensure the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property. The ideal Security Guard candidate will have excellent observational skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong communication abilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly, ensure they have business on the property, and direct guests to appropriate areas on the property. Upon direction from the front desk/Sporting Shoppe, inform staff of VIP arrivals. Inform resident members of their guest's arrivals, confirming their guest is expected prior to allowing them through the gates. Observe all persons entering and leaving the property and remain alert for suspicious persons and/or vehicles. Answer night connection telephone and assist as required. Monitor security camera system. Respond to emergency, fire alarms and break-in alarms and contacts COO and/or police in the event of a disturbance. Is familiar with emergency 911 notification procedures. Completes other appropriate assignments made by COO/Ownership.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Experience in related job preferred. Must be able to remain alert throughout overnight shifts. Must be able to provide professional and courteous customer service to visitors. Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

Education and Experience:

Certification in Basic CPR, AED and First Aid preferred. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have a valid driver's license. High School education or equivalent required. Previous service in the US Armed Forces; local police, state police or Sheriff's Office desirable.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to hot, sunny, humid, cold or rainy conditions. May work in nighttime conditions. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position. Frequent repetitive motions. Continuous standing and walking. Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
