$50,000 salaryPOSITION SUMMARY
The Lifeguard Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of all aquatics participants in and around the pool area, maintain a safe pool environment, provide lifeguard and safety training, and assist with scheduling and managing lifeguards. Your leadership will help foster a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy recreational swimming, swim lessons, and special events while feeling confident in their safety and experience.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Hires, trains, schedules and supervises lifeguard staff that will create a high quality and safe environment. 2. Responsible for the overall safety of all individuals that enter the aquatics area. Able to respond to safety and emergency situations in an effective, efficient manner. 3. Conducts mandatory in-service trainings and lifeguard certifications. Ensures records of staff certifications are current and complete. 4. Enforces YMCA safety standards, policies, and state/local health regulations. 5. Responds immediately to accidents, performs rescues, and complete necessary reports. 6. Promotes a positive member and program participant experience by fostering a welcoming environment that emphasizes customer service and safety standards. 7. Monitors pool chemistry, maintains equipment and inspects for hazards. 8. Coordinates with facility team as needed for repairs and maintenance to keep facilities in top condition. 9. Ensures a clean and safe environment. 10. Responds to member and community inquiries and comments in a professional, timely manner. 11. Other duties as assigned.YMCA CORE VALUES

1. Must be 21+ years of age. 2. 3+ years of experience in supervisory role in aquatics, preferred. 3.Certification requirements include:
Lifeguarding Instructor (LGI) certification, Red Cross Lifeguard certification, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer or CPR/AED for lifeguards, First Aid, AED 4. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, scan pool areas, and pass water tests. 5. Capable of performing rescues and strenuous physical tasks. 6. Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software. 7. Must have good interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to make presentations. 8. Strong oral and written skills with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. 9. Must possess the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner and exhibit good judgment. 10. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments. 11. MUST be able to work a varied schedule that includes early mornings, evenings and weekends.Pay:
