Job Description

LIHEAP Lead Danville, KY- Temporary & Full-Time Available $14/hr. I. Job Summary Coordinates public and private resources and provides direct services to eligible individuals and the community. Protect the privacy of customers/families and hold in confidence all information obtained in the course of service.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides direct services/vouchers and referrals to individuals and/or families to meet emergency needs. 2. Ensures that all client household information is obtained for every client and entered into the client database to meet State and Federal program requirements. 3. Ensure all referrals and referral follow-ups are entered into client database. 4. Ensures that the poor and the near poor are not excluded from services which may be available through Blue Grass Community Action Partnership (BGCAP) and other agencies, and that understandable materials are made available to them, such as a "Community Resources Guide" and referrals. 5. Provides excellent customer service to individuals and/or families, Community Partners and Local Government officials 6. Provides services through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program "LIHEAP" and other BGCAP programs as instructed within the assigned service area. 7. Provides necessary administrative and programmatic documentation as required for reporting purposes. 8. Conducts the designated community needs assessment surveys and customer satisfaction surveys with clients, community partners, and other stakeholders. 9. Takes and submits applications for HEA, and EFSP, and other local programs
III. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Good computer skills
  • Must have reliable transportation o Valid driver's license o Provide proof of insurance
  • Pass criminal background check and alcohol/drug screening.
  • Mon-Friday, 30-40 hours per week.
