Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, including storage, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention Support menu planning efforts by suggesting improvements or new ideas based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and efficient service during busy hours Assist with catering events or special functions as needed, providing excellent service from preparation through presentation Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is REQUIRED, demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations and food handling practices Culinary experience that includes knife skills, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is essential for success in this role Knowledge of dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus, especially when accommodating special dietary needs Hands-on experience with menu planning, food safety protocols, and catering operations will set you apart Strong understanding of the food industry trends and customer service principles to deliver exceptional dining experiences Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and presentation Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a real difference!
