Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook and bring your passion for food to life! In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing delicious dishes with precision and flair. Your culinary skills will shine as you work alongside a talented team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. We cook birria tacos and sell them at a rooftop bar in Waikiki. Similar to a food truck style setup, work is outdoors, you will assist in setup/ breakdown of cooking station. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring each dish is flavorful, visually appealing, and served promptly Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Handle food with care, maintaining proper food safety and sanitation standards at all times Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients efficiently and accurately Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts to ensure a safe and organized kitchen environment Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to safety guidelines Serve dishes promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive service Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred, especially in roles involving food handling and meal preparation Culinary experience including knife skills, cooking techniques, and food industry knowledge is advantageous Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience can be beneficial for understanding special dietary needs Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices is essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene Experience with menu planning or catering operations demonstrates versatility and a proactive approach in the kitchen Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to work efficiently under pressure are key to success in this role Embark on an exciting culinary adventure with us!
