Line Cook/Prep Cook

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and preparing meals according to established standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure all food is handled properly to prevent contamination. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and efficient workflow. Help with inventory management by reporting stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed. Experience Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling practices is essential. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is a plus. Strong knife skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are highly valued.
